A pickup hood sits at the height where gravel off a dump truck on I-95 or Route 28 lands, and the bumper beneath it is a flat wall that catches the rest. That is why trucks roll into our Chantilly shop with more chips per mile than any sedan. We cut STEK DYNOshield for the exact year and trim, whether it is an F-150 that tows all week, a lifted Tacoma, or a Cybertruck whose stainless skin scratches instead of chipping. Partial front, full front, and full front extended are the three packages we offer on a truck; the bed and tailgate are outside all three, and chrome delete is a vinyl job we do not take on.
By model
All film is STEK DYNOshield, self-healing, with a 12-year warranty. Partial front, full front, and full front extended coverage are available on every model; pricing is by free quote and confirmed at an in-person inspection.
The widest hood we film, and the aluminum body shows a chip to bare metal faster than steel does.
Quote my Ford F-150 →A grille surround taller than most car roofs takes stones square on at highway speed.
Quote my Chevy Silverado 1500 →Long hood and a big painted bumper on most trims; Rebel and TRX flares expose more paint.
Quote my Ram 1500 →The 2024 redesign brought a new hood and grille, so the pattern is cut for the new body, not the old.
Quote my Toyota Tacoma →Enormous hood and headlights; the TRD Pro hood scoop is accounted for in the pattern.
Quote my Toyota Tundra →Stainless does not chip, but it scratches and holds fingerprints, and film keeps the planes uniform.
Quote my Tesla Cybertruck →Unibody with a lower nose than a body-on-frame truck; most Ridgeline owners land on full front.
Quote my Honda Ridgeline →A truck hood is flat and high, so stones hit it at full speed instead of skipping off a slope. Full front covers the hood as one sheet with the edges wrapped underneath, not just the leading strip.
Jobsite gravel, trailer dust, and the scuffs from loading ladders all land on the front end. The self-healing top coat on STEK DYNOshield lets light scratches disappear in the sun.
A lift raises the bumper into the spray thrown by the vehicle ahead, which is why lifted trucks show chips low on the fascia. Factory bumpers on TRD, Trail Boss, and Tremor trims all have patterns.
Owners ask about chrome delete, and the honest answer is that we install paint protection film and nothing else. The painted hood, fenders, and bumper around that chrome are what we protect.
Watch
A rare Mustang GT California Special goes through the prep every car gets before film: masking the trim, a paint enhancement pass, and the alcohol wipe that makes the film bond.
A walk through the body shop showing why the hood, fenders, bumper, and headlights take the hits, and why full front PPF covers exactly those panels.
