TUNDRA PAINT PROTECTION FILM
The third-generation Tundra has one of the tallest, squarest front ends on the road, with a grille that fills most of it and a hood that sits level with the bed of the truck in front of you. On Route 28 and I-95, where the dump trucks and gravel haulers run, that hood takes everything they drop. The hood, square to the wind
The Tundra hood is tall and nearly flat, and its leading edge faces straight into the spray from the truck ahead. Chips sit across the front foot of the panel and are visible from the driveway.
The painted bumper corners
The upper corners of the bumper are body color on most trims and lead the truck into the wind. On a dark truck they are the first thing you notice after one winter of salt and cinders.
Fender tops and the arch edges
Tundra tires are big and they throw sand and brine onto the fender tops. TRD Pro trucks with aggressive tread pit the arch edges fastest. Full front covers the full fender.
Rockers behind the front tires
A Tundra that tows or sees a job site gets its rockers sandblasted. The door cups also get worked by gloves and keys. Both are the extended package.

PAINTED VERSUS PLASTIC AND CHROME
Lower trims run a chrome or plastic lower bumper and the valance is textured plastic. We film painted surfaces only; the pattern covers the painted bumper sections and stops where the plastic starts. Tell us the trim so we cut the right bumper piece.
SENSORS, CAMERA, AND THE EMBLEM
Parking sensors sit across the bumper, the front camera for the panoramic view sits in the grille, and the radar for Toyota Safety Sense sits behind the emblem. All of it is cut around; nothing is filmed over a lens or the emblem.
TRD PRO HOOD AND TOW MIRRORS
The TRD Pro carries a raised hood section and its own grille, so it uses a different hood pattern than the rest of the lineup. Trucks with the tow mirrors get pieces for the painted housings; textured black housings are left alone.

TOYOTA TUNDRA PPF QUESTIONS
Yes. The hood pattern for the TRD Pro follows the raised section so the film sits flat over every contour without stretching over a gap. It looks like paint, and the whole hood is one piece with no seam.
That is what it is for. Gravel lots, trailers, and brush washes all throw abuse at the front, and the film takes it instead of the paint. Light scratches heal in the sun, and the STEK DYNOshield film carries a 12-year manufacturer warranty.
No. The radar behind the emblem, the sensors in the bumper, and the grille camera all have their windows cut out of the pattern. Adaptive cruise, pre-collision braking, and the panoramic camera are unchanged.
Full front is one day. The extended package on a CrewMax adds a second morning for the long rockers and four door edges, and a ceramic coating over the film adds a day. Drop off at nine and most trucks are done the same afternoon.
Not for the film. The front patterns cover the same painted panels at any ride height. Bigger tires do throw more at the fenders and rockers, which is why lifted Tundras usually take the extended package.
