GT-R PAINT PROTECTION FILM
The R35 GT-R has one of the widest, flattest noses on the road, and it is all paint. The grille opening is huge, the headlights sit at the corners where the airflow is hardest, and the lower splitter is first to meet everything from a Chantilly parking curb to the gravel on Route 28. Every GT-R we see that has gone unprotected for a few years has a sandblasted bumper and a hood that looks dusted.
With the R35 out of production, keeping the original paint on one matters more than it did. WHERE A GT-R TAKES DAMAGE
The grille and splitter
The R35's grille is wide open and the painted surround and splitter below it face the road head-on. Stones and curbs both land here, and a repaint means blending into the fenders.
The hood's broad face
The hood is long, nearly flat, and visible from everywhere. Chips across its front half show up as white dots on every color, and on Bayside Blue they show from across the lot.
Fender vents and arches
The vents behind the front wheels and the arch lips take tire pickup on every drive. Film on the fenders covers them; the painted vent surrounds are cut precisely.
Headlights in the corners
The lamps sit at the outermost edges of the nose where airflow is fastest. Grit pits them, and replacement housings for an R35 are not cheap.

Full Front Extended
Front end plus the wear areas · One to two days
Rockers, door edges, and door cups on top of full front. Good for a car that sees Summit Point or a canyon road in the Blue Ridge, where tire pickup reaches the sides.

TWO FRONT ENDS, PLUS NISMO
The 2017 refresh gave the GT-R a new bumper, grille, and hood, so the 2009 to 2016 cars use one pattern set and 2017 and later another. The NISMO's bumper and fender vents are different again. We cut for the exact year and trim.
AFTERMARKET FRONT PIECES
Many R35s wear aftermarket lips, splitters, or full bumpers. Let us know before booking; a factory pattern will not fit an aftermarket part, and we will tell you up front whether we can plot a pattern for yours.
SPECIAL COLORS
Bayside Blue, Millennium Jade, and Midnight Purple are multi-stage colors that cannot be touched up from a pen. We inspect and correct the paint before film so nothing is trapped underneath, then wrap the edges so the film is invisible.

Can You Spot the PPF?
Two cars, both filmed. A proper install is wrapped under the hood edges and tucked into the bumper, so there is no line to find.
Questions
NISSAN GT-R PPF QUESTIONS
Yes. The painted bumper and the face of the splitter are included in full front. Bare carbon can be filmed with a clear piece or left and coated, whichever you prefer. The pattern is cut to the splitter line so nothing hangs over an edge.
Possibly. Factory patterns do not fit aftermarket parts, and we do not cut on the car. Send a photo of the front end with your quote request and we will tell you whether a pattern exists or can be plotted for that part before you book.
The special colors are. Bayside Blue and Millennium Jade are multi-stage finishes that do not match from a touch-up pen, so a chip stays visible until the panel is repainted and blended. Film prevents that from being needed.
No. Every edge is wrapped or tucked and heat-set, and the bumper piece is cut to the grille opening so the film ends on a panel edge rather than in the airflow. The film is rated well past anything the car will do on the street.
Full front is one day, and we like to inspect the car under the lights beforehand because many R35s have had paintwork. Full front extended adds a day, and a Gtechniq coating over the film adds another.
