ESCALADE PAINT PROTECTION FILM

An Escalade carries its hood at the height of most drivers' heads, which means every chip on it is at eye level in a parking garage in Tysons. The grille is huge, the vertical headlights run nearly the full height of the nose, and the bumper is painted almost to the ground. Repainting any of it means blending into the fenders of a very large truck. Full front film is how Escalade owners around Dulles skip that conversation.

We see the standard and ESV in the Chantilly bay in black more than any other color, and black Escalade paint shows chips and swirls faster than anything. This page covers where this body gets hit, what the three packages cover on a truck this size, how we work around Super Cruise and the parking sensors, what the 2025 front-end refresh changed, and the questions owners ask before booking.

What we see in the bay

WHERE A ESCALADE TAKES DAMAGE

The grille surround and bumper

The painted lower bumper on an Escalade is wide and faces straight ahead. Gravel from a dump truck on Route 28 hits it full width, and the grille frame catches what the paint does not.

Vertical headlights

The tall lamps are a signature of the truck and a serious bill if they are replaced. Grit pits the lenses and dulls the LEDs well before the housings fail.

A hood you look at from above

The flat hood is high and long. Chips on the front foot of it are visible from the driver's seat and from the sidewalk, and on Black Raven every one is white.

Doors in tight spots

Four long doors and a liftgate on a truck this wide mean door-edge contact with pillars, carts, and other cars. The extended package covers the edges and the cups.

Three packages

WHAT EACH PACKAGE COVERS ON THE ESCALADE

Partial Front

High-impact zones only · Half a day

Bumper, the leading 18 inches of the hood, the fender edges, and the mirror caps. On a hood this big the film line sits well forward and is obvious on dark colors, so few Escalade owners stop at partial.

  • Full front bumper
  • Leading 18" of the hood
  • Leading edge of both fenders
  • Side mirrors
Most chosen

Full Front

What most drivers choose · One day

Full hood, both fenders, the bumper, mirrors, the full-height headlights, and A-pillars. Edges wrap under the hood and into the arches. The package we recommend for any Escalade that lives on I-495.

  • Full hood
  • Full front bumper
  • Both full fenders
  • Side mirrors
  • Headlights
  • A-pillars

Full Front Extended

Front end plus the wear areas · One to two days

Adds rockers, door edges, and door cups across all four doors. On trucks with power steps the film covers the painted sill above the step. Common on an ESV that hauls people for a living.

  • Everything in Full Front
  • Rocker panels
  • Door edges and door cups
  • Door strips
  • A-pillars (halfway)

SUPER CRUISE AND THE SENSORS

Escalades with Super Cruise carry a radar behind the crest and cameras in the grille and windshield, plus ultrasonic sensors in the bumper. Each window is cut out of the pattern and left bare. Nothing we do changes how the driver-assist systems see the road.

THE 2025 REFRESH

The 2025 model year brought a new front fascia and lighting, so it uses a different pattern set from the 2021 to 2024 trucks. Standard and ESV share the same nose within each generation. Tell us the year and we cut accordingly.

BLACK PAINT AND THE COATING

Black Raven and the other dark Escalade colors swirl from a single brush wash. We correct the paint before film, then most owners add a Gtechniq coating over the film and the rest of the truck so it stays glossy with a rinse.

Can You Spot the PPF?

Two cars, both filmed. A proper install is wrapped under the hood edges and tucked into the bumper, so there is no line to find.

Questions

CADILLAC ESCALADE PPF QUESTIONS

No. Super Cruise relies on cameras, radar, and GPS mapping, and none of those windows are filmed. The pattern is cut around the crest radar, the grille camera, and every bumper sensor. Owners drive home on I-66 with hands-free working exactly as it did.
