CAYENNE PAINT PROTECTION FILM
The Cayenne is the Porsche we see most from the McLean and Great Falls side of the county, and nearly all of them commute on the Dulles Toll Road or I-495 through Tysons. Porsche paint is thin and the Cayenne's nose is wide and upright, with three big intakes at gravel height and a long hood above them. A chip on a Cayenne is not a touch-up job; the bumper blends into the fenders and the colors are layered. Full front STEK film keeps the factory paint in place and goes on in a day.
This page covers where a Cayenne takes damage in Northern Virginia, what each of our three packages means on the SUV and the Coupe, how we handle the sensors and the camera, and which trims change the bumper. The 2024 facelift brought a new front end, so have the year ready when you book.
What we see in the bay
WHERE A CAYENNE TAKES DAMAGE
The three intakes and the painted bars between them
The Cayenne's bumper is mostly intake, and the painted lips between and above the openings take stones squarely. On the GTS and Turbo the openings are larger and the painted bars thinner.
The long hood
The Cayenne hood is long and nearly flat, and stones that clear the bumper land across the front third of it. On Jet Black or Carrara White it is the first thing you see as you walk up.
Headlights and mirrors
The headlights are large, expensive, and sit at the corners where grit hits them. The mirrors ride wide on a Cayenne and chip at the leading edge. Full front covers both.
Soft paint that marks in a wash
Porsche clear coat swirls from a brush wash and marks from a careless towel. The self-healing STEK top coat is why so many Cayenne owners film the front even before the first chip.
Three packages
WHAT EACH PACKAGE COVERS ON THE CAYENNE
Partial Front
High-impact zones only · Half a day
Bumper, the first 18 inches of the hood, the fender edges, and the mirror housings. On a Cayenne the line crosses the hood in plain view, which is why few owners stop here.
- Full front bumper
- Leading 18" of the hood
- Leading edge of both fenders
- Side mirrors
Full Front
What most drivers choose · One day
Full hood, both fenders, the bumper, mirrors, headlights, and A-pillars, with edges wrapped under the hood lip and into the arches. The standard Cayenne job and our recommendation for one that commutes through Tysons.
- Full hood
- Full front bumper
- Both full fenders
- Side mirrors
- Headlights
- A-pillars
Full Front Extended
Front end plus the wear areas · One to two days
Adds the rocker panels, door edges, and door cups. Cayenne sills get scuffed by shoes, and the door cups on a family Porsche collect scratches quickly. Common on the Coupe.
- Everything in Full Front
- Rocker panels
- Door edges and door cups
- Door strips
- A-pillars (halfway)

SENSORS, CAMERA, AND RADAR
The Cayenne carries parking sensors across the bumper, a front camera in the grille on cars with surround view, and the radar for adaptive cruise in the lower intake. Every window is cut out of the pattern and the film follows the intake edges so nothing lifts at speed.
SUV, COUPE, AND FACELIFT PATTERNS
The Cayenne SUV and the Cayenne Coupe share a front end but differ at the A-pillar and the doors, and the 2024 facelift changed the hood, headlights, and bumper. The 2019 to 2023 cars and the facelift cars use separate pattern sets, and we cut for the exact year.
SPECIAL COLORS AND CORRECTION
Paint-to-sample and the deeper Porsche colors cannot be matched from a code. Every Cayenne gets a panel-by-panel inspection and a correction before film so nothing is locked in under it.

Questions
PORSCHE CAYENNE PPF QUESTIONS
No. The patterns are cut to the intake edges and every edge is wrapped or tucked, then heat-set. The film is rated well beyond any speed the car sees on I-495, and we have never had one lift.
Yes. The Coupe shares the nose with the SUV and has its own A-pillar and door pieces. Most Coupe owners take full front extended because the rockers and door cups are what show wear on that body.
Gloss film is invisible on a properly prepared surface, light or dark. The car is corrected before film so no swirls show through, and the hood edge is wrapped under the lip so there is no visible line.
No. The sensors, the camera, and the radar all have their windows cut out of the pattern before the film touches the car. Everything works the same after the install.
Full front is one day; full front extended or a ceramic coating on top adds a day. We schedule Porsches for a full inspection first so the paint is right before the film goes on.
