Marine Corps Base Quantico · Military & federal

QUANTICO PAINT PROTECTION FILM

Marine Corps Base Quantico draws its people from Stafford, Dumfries, Woodbridge, and Fredericksburg, which means I-95 twice a day for most of them. That stretch of interstate is express lanes, concrete barriers, and a steady line of tractor-trailers, and the pavement between Route 1 and Russell Road adds its own grit. Students at The Basic School and Officer Candidates School arrive for months at a time, often in a car that is brand new or about to be. The front ends we see from Quantico are peppered the same way every time: lower bumper first, then the hood edge and the mirror caps.

Below is how the three STEK DYNOshield packages cover a Quantico commuter, how to schedule a one-day install around a course start, a deployment, or TDY, and what the drive to our Chantilly shop looks like. We are off Route 28 near Dulles, about 45 minutes north of the main gate, and we work Mon–Fri 9 AM–6 PM. Marines, civilians, and FBI Academy staff from Quantico have been part of our customer base for years, and they tend to ask the same practical questions, so those are the ones answered here.

Marine Corps Base Quantico to our shop is about 45 minutes: I-95 north to I-66 west and out to Route 28, or Route 1 to the Fairfax County Parkway when the interstate is stacked up through Dumfries.

Why the front end

WHAT QUANTICO DOES TO YOUR PAINT

I-95 through Stafford and Dumfries

The commute north from Stafford or south from Woodbridge runs between trucks and under years of express-lane construction. Stones come off tires at highway speed and land on the bumper, the hood edge, and the mirrors before you reach the base exit.

Route 1 and the base roads

Richmond Highway through Triangle and Dumfries, Russell Road, and the roads out to the ranges are patched, sanded in winter, and shared with training traffic. Gravel from the shoulders ends up on the paint of whatever is following a seven-ton.

Open lots for a long day

Parking across the base is open surface lots. A car sitting there through a summer of PT, classes, and range days collects pollen, sap, and bird droppings that etch unprotected clear coat before anyone notices.

A new car for a new duty station

Lieutenants at TBS, new agents at the Academy, and families fresh off a PCS buy cars in Stafford, Woodbridge, and Fredericksburg every week. Filming the front before the first I-95 run is the easiest week to do it, because nothing needs touching up first.

How it works for you

DROP-OFF, TIMING, AND PAYING

DROP-OFF AND PICKUP FROM QUANTICO

Leave base after the morning rush and you can be at 4215 Walney Rd by 10 AM; a full front is normally ready that afternoon. The drive back down I-95 after 6 PM is the slowest part of the day, so plenty of customers pair the trip with a day off or a late start.

COURSE DATES, DEPLOYMENTS, TDY

Tell us your report date, your deployment window, or your TDY dates and we will book the install around them. A car being left in Virginia for seven months should be filmed before it sits, not after. Training schedules change, and when yours moves, the install date moves with it.

PAYING FOR IT

A 20% deposit reserves the date and is fully refundable. Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm let you pay the balance over time instead of all at pickup. If you are active duty, reserve, or a veteran, say so when you request a quote and we will take it from there.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

The 3-Step Prep Before PPF

A rare Mustang GT California Special goes through the prep every car gets before film: masking the trim, a paint enhancement pass, and the alcohol wipe that makes the film bond.

Where Rock Chips Actually Land

A walk through the body shop showing why the hood, fenders, bumper, and headlights take the hits, and why full front PPF covers exactly those panels.

Questions

QUANTICO PPF QUESTIONS

Before, if you can. The drive to Quantico is the first long highway run most new cars take, and the film works best on paint that has never been chipped. If you are buying the car locally after you arrive, book us for the same week as delivery and come up I-95 on a free afternoon.

"Great people to deal with. Owner was very transparent with all their services and they offer payment plans. I got the front half of my car PPF'd and back half ceramic coated (one of the packages they offered) and has been raining for a few days on an off. You cant even tell it rained. The PPF and ceramic coat works as intended."
