PENTAGON PAINT PROTECTION FILM

Nobody who works at the Pentagon has an easy drive. Arlington's own streets are fine; the problem is what feeds them: I-395 from Springfield and Woodbridge, I-66 from Fairfax and Loudoun, the GW Parkway and the 14th Street Bridge from Maryland and the District. Every one of those carries trucks and construction debris at the hours Pentagon staff drive them, and the North and South parking lots hold cars outside for ten to twelve hours while they bake. The front ends we see from the building show it: a sandblasted lower bumper, a chipped hood edge, and mirror caps that look older than the rest of the car.

If you work in the building or at one of the offices around Pentagon City and Crystal City, this page covers how the three STEK DYNOshield packages map onto a Pentagon commute, how to get the car to Chantilly and back on a workday, and what a new-car owner should do before the first week on I-395. We are about 35 minutes out I-66, off Route 28 in Chantilly, open Mon–Fri 9 AM–6 PM, and every car we film is done in our own bay with 140+ five-star Google reviews behind the work.

The Pentagon to our Chantilly shop is about 35 minutes against traffic: Washington Boulevard to I-66 west and stay on it to Route 28, or I-395 south to the Beltway and I-66 if you are leaving from the south side of the building.

Why the front end

WHAT THE PENTAGON DOES TO YOUR PAINT

I-395 and the 14th Street Bridge

The HOV lanes and the bridge approaches are concrete with expansion joints that shed grit, and the general lanes are wall-to-wall trucks heading for the District. A low bumper gets sandblasted here faster than anywhere else in Arlington.

I-66 inside and outside the Beltway

Years of widening and tolling work have left I-66 with lane shifts, temporary barriers, and construction entrances that drag gravel onto the road. The commute home to Fairfax or Loudoun collects it on the hood edge.

North and South Parking

Acres of open asphalt with nothing to break the wind means grit, pollen, and bird droppings land on the paint all day and get baked in by afternoon. A self-healing film top coat and a ceramic layer over it are what keep that from etching.

Slug lines and early hours

A 5 AM slug pickup or a dark lot at 7 PM means nobody is watching the car. Door dings and cart scrapes on the door edges and cups are the common complaint, and the extended package covers exactly those spots.

How it works for you

DROP-OFF, TIMING, AND PAYING

DROP-OFF ON A WORKDAY

A 9 AM drop at 4215 Walney Rd in Chantilly means a late start at the building, so most Pentagon customers come on a telework day or stack it with a Friday. Full front is finished the same afternoon; with a coating the car stays with us overnight and is ready the next day.

PCS TO THE PENTAGON, TDY, DEPLOYMENTS

Joint staff arrive on orders and buy cars in Arlington and Alexandria within the first month, which is the right time to film them. If you are headed out on TDY or a deployment, film the car before it sits in a lot or a driveway for the duration. Dates that shift are not a problem; the install moves with your orders.

PAYING AND THE DEPOSIT

Your install date is held by a 20% deposit that is fully refundable and comes off the final bill. You pay the remainder at pickup after walking every filmed panel under our lights. If spreading it out helps, Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm are offered at checkout, and active duty, reserve, and veterans should mention it on the quote form.

Can You Spot the PPF?

Two cars, both filmed. A proper install is wrapped under the hood edges and tucked into the bumper, so there is no line to find.

Questions

THE PENTAGON PPF QUESTIONS

Most people use a telework day or come in late on a Friday. Drop at 9 AM, grab a rideshare or have a colleague follow you, and the full front is ready by late afternoon. If your schedule allows a two-day window, adding a ceramic coating at the same time saves a second trip out Route 28.

"Great people to deal with. Owner was very transparent with all their services and they offer payment plans. I got the front half of my car PPF'd and back half ceramic coated (one of the packages they offered) and has been raining for a few days on an off. You cant even tell it rained. The PPF and ceramic coat works as intended."
