FORT BELVOIR PAINT PROTECTION FILM
Fort Belvoir sits on Route 1 between Alexandria and Lorton, and nearly everyone assigned there drives to work. The Fairfax County Parkway cuts straight through the post, Richmond Highway has been under widening for years, and the I-95 run from Woodbridge or Stafford means miles of truck traffic throwing gravel at bumper height. Cars then park in open surface lots for ten hours while sun, pollen, and whatever the sweeper missed land on the paint. Soldiers, civilians, and contractors at Belvoir bring us cars within weeks of a PCS, and the damage on the ones that waited follows the same pattern: lower bumper, hood edge, mirror caps.
This page is written for the Belvoir commute specifically: which panels take the hits on the Parkway and I-95, how to fit a one-day install around in-processing, a deployment, or TDY, and what the three STEK DYNOshield packages cover. Our shop is in Chantilly, about half an hour up the Parkway, with Mon–Fri hours that line up with a normal duty day. The Parkway between Belvoir and Springfield is lined with construction, and I-95 through Lorton and Newington carries constant tractor-trailer traffic. Both throw stones at the bumper and the first foot of the hood for your entire commute.
Richmond Highway construction
The Route 1 widening through the Belvoir stretch means lane shifts, milled pavement, and loose aggregate on the road for the foreseeable future. Following a dump truck through it for two miles leaves white dots on a dark hood.
Open lots, all day, all year
Parking on post is surface lots with no shade. Ten hours in the sun bakes bird droppings and pollen into clear coat, and the self-healing top coat on the film takes that abuse instead of the paint.
A new car right after a PCS
Many Belvoir families buy a car within weeks of arriving, usually from the dealers in Springfield or along Route 1 in Alexandria. Factory-fresh paint with zero chips is the best possible day to film it.

DROP-OFF, TIMING, AND PAYING
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Drop the car at 4215 Walney Rd in Chantilly at 9 AM and a full front is finished the same afternoon. If you cannot wait around, a rideshare back toward I-66 is a short hop, or come back for it any time before we close at 6 PM.
PCS, DEPLOYMENT, TDY
Before a deployment, film the front so the car sits for months without the chips it already has rusting underneath. Arriving on orders, book us for the week you take delivery. If TDY dates move, call (703) 775-4383 and we will reschedule the install around them.
DEPOSIT AND PAYING OVER TIME
A fully refundable 20% deposit holds the install date and comes off the balance. The rest is paid at pickup after you have walked the car under the inspection lights with us. Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm are available if you would rather spread the cost across the next few paychecks.

The week you take delivery, before the first drive down I-95. New paint has no chips to hide, so the film goes on invisibly and the self-healing top coat starts working from day one. Send the year, make, model, and delivery date through the quote form and we will hold a day near it.
Yes, for two reasons. The car still has to get to storage or a family member's driveway, and the chips already in the paint keep rusting while you are gone. Film seals the front end before the long sit, and a ceramic coating on top keeps months of dust and pollen from etching the clear coat.
Our doors open at 9 AM, so a pre-dawn drop is not possible, but a 9 AM drop and a late-afternoon pickup fits a normal duty day with one trip up the Parkway. Full front is usually done the same day. If your day runs long, call (703) 775-4383 and we will work out a pickup time.

This is the job the film was built for. STEK DYNOshield is a thick urethane film that absorbs stones instead of letting them reach the paint, and its top coat heals light scratches in the sun. It carries a 12-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and peeling. A big rock marks the film rather than the hood.
