DULLES AIRPORT PAINT PROTECTION FILM
Dulles is a city of its own: airline crews, ramp and cargo workers, TSA and CBP officers, and the office parks along Route 28 and the Toll Road that exist because the airport does. Nearly all of them drive and park in open lots a shuttle ride from where they work. Route 28 is a truck route, the Access Road carries fuel tankers and freight haulers, and the roads around the cargo side are shared with everything that keeps the terminals supplied. Add a shift that ends in the dark and a car that sits twelve hours in a windswept lot, and the front end pays for it.
We are ten minutes down Route 28 at 4215 Walney Rd in Chantilly, close enough to drop the car on the way to a shift. This page covers what the airport commute does to a bumper and hood, how to hand us the keys at the start of a day and get them back at the end, and what the three STEK DYNOshield packages cover. For crew, a two-day film-and-coating install lines up with a two-day trip, and for everyone else a full front fits inside a single shift with time to spare.
From the terminal at Dulles, follow Route 28 south for about 10 minutes to Walney Road in Chantilly; from the cargo side or the employee lots it is roughly the same once you are on 28.
Why the front end
WHAT DULLES AIRPORT DOES TO YOUR PAINT
Route 28 and the Access Road
Route 28 between the airport and I-66 is a four-lane truck corridor with interchanges still being rebuilt, and the Dulles Access Road is tankers and cargo trucks at highway speed. Both throw stones at the bumper on every shift.
Employee lots and shuttle rides
The car sits for a full shift in an open lot with nothing between it and the wind off the airfield. Fine grit, jet exhaust fallout, and pollen settle on the hood and get baked in, and the lot is a long shuttle ride from anyone who might notice a door ding.
Shift work in the dark
Early departures and late arrivals mean the car is parked and retrieved in the dark, often in the same spot for days during a trip. That is when scrapes on door edges and cups happen and go unnoticed until daylight.
Cargo trucks and office-park construction
The freight side of the airport runs on trucks, and the office parks along Route 28 and the Silver Line stations are still being built out. Gravel tracked out of construction entrances onto Route 28 lands on whatever is in the next lane.
How it works for you
DROP-OFF, TIMING, AND PAYING
DROP AT THE START OF A SHIFT, PICK UP AFTER
We open at 9 AM, so a mid-morning shift start works best: drop the car, take a rideshare the ten minutes up Route 28, and the full front is ready when you clock out. Pickup is any time before 6 PM, and the inspection under lights takes about fifteen minutes.
TRIPS, BID SCHEDULES, AND ROTATIONS
Crew on a two-day trip can match it to a two-day film-and-coating install and pick up on the way home. Shift workers on a rotation usually book a day off so they can see the car under the lights before paying. If a trip gets reassigned, call (703) 775-4383 and the date moves.
DEPOSIT, BALANCE, AND PAYMENT PLANS
A refundable 20% deposit locks in the install day and is credited to your total. The balance is settled at pickup once you have walked the car with us. Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm are available for anyone who wants to spread the cost over the next several pay periods.

Questions
DULLES AIRPORT PPF QUESTIONS
Not that early; our bay opens at 9 AM. The better fit is a day you start mid-morning or a day off, since a full front drops at 9 and is ready by late afternoon. Plenty of Dulles employees book the install for a scheduled day off and run errands in Chantilly while it is done.
Full front, and consider the extended version if you drive an SUV or truck. The lot does slow damage from grit and sun, which the film's self-healing top coat handles, while Route 28 does the fast damage to the bumper and hood edge, which is what full front is for. Extended adds the door edges that get scraped in the dark.
Yes. Full front film with a Gtechniq ceramic coating on top is a two-day job, so dropping the car the morning you leave and picking it up the afternoon you land works well. Give us the trip dates through the quote form and we will confirm the pickup time before you go.
It does. The fine particles that settle on cars near the runways cause swirl marks when they are wiped or washed, and the STEK top coat heals those light scratches when the car warms up in the sun. A ceramic coating over the film makes the grit rinse off instead of needing to be rubbed.
GeoShield ceramic tint takes two to three hours, so it fits easily inside a shift, with or without film on the same day. It is metal-free, so radios, phones, and your employee badge reader are unaffected. For a Virginia-registered sedan we cut to 50% on the front sides and 35% behind.

"Great people to deal with. Owner was very transparent with all their services and they offer payment plans. I got the front half of my car PPF'd and back half ceramic coated (one of the packages they offered) and has been raining for a few days on an off. You cant even tell it rained. The PPF and ceramic coat works as intended."
