NEW-CAR PPF FOR TYSONS DELIVERIES
The Route 7 and Route 123 corridor through Tysons and Vienna is where much of Northern Virginia buys its German, Japanese, and electric cars, and the first drive home from any of those lots is a stone test. Route 7 is a six-lane commercial strip with constant lane work, Route 123 funnels into the Beltway and the Toll Road, and I-66 is the way home for everyone in Fairfax and Loudoun. A new car can take its first chip before the temporary tag is a day old. Filming the front end during delivery week is the one chance to seal paint that has never been hit.
This page is for someone picking up a car in Tysons this week. It covers how to line up the install with your delivery date, how a dealer's add-on protection package differs from a specialist film install, what to ask the salesperson before you sign, and what each of the three STEK DYNOshield packages covers on a new car. Our shop is 25 minutes west in Chantilly, off Route 28 near Dulles, and a new-car full front is a one-day install that we can usually fit into the same week you take the keys.
From the Route 7 and Route 123 dealers in Tysons and Vienna, go west on Route 7 to Route 28 south, or take the Toll Road to Route 28, and you reach our Chantilly shop in about 25 minutes.
Why the front end
WHAT TYSONS DEALERS DOES TO YOUR PAINT
Route 7 on the way out of the lot
Leesburg Pike through Tysons is lined with construction, delivery trucks, and buses, and the pavement between Route 123 and the Beltway is patched in a dozen places. The first mile of ownership is already throwing grit at the bumper.
The Toll Road and I-66 home
Whichever way you leave Tysons, you end up on a 65 mph road behind trucks. Stones off their tires land on the lower bumper, the leading edge of the hood, and the mirror caps, and factory paint on a new car is thinner than most buyers expect.
Tysons garages and valet lots
The parking around Tysons Corner Center and the office towers is tight, with narrow spaces and concrete columns. Door edges, door cups, and rocker panels pick up scuffs there within months, which is what the extended package covers.
Delivery-week paint is perfect paint
A car fresh off the truck has no chips, no swirls, and no wax or sealant to strip. Film bonds best to that surface, and every week you wait adds something that has to be corrected before the film can go on.
How it works for you
DROP-OFF, TIMING, AND PAYING
BOOK FOR THE WEEK YOU TAKE DELIVERY
Send us the year, make, model, and the delivery date the dealer gave you, and we will hold a day that week. Many customers pick up in the afternoon and bring the car to Chantilly the next morning at 9 AM, and the full front is ready by late afternoon the same day.
WHAT THE DEALER OFFERS VERSUS WHAT WE INSTALL
Dealer protection packages vary: some are a paint sealant or chemical treatment with a warranty, some are a pre-cut partial film applied by a third party, and most are rolled into the finance contract. Ask what the product is, who installs it, and what the warranty covers. We install STEK DYNOshield only, computer-cut for your exact trim, with edges wrapped and a 12-year manufacturer warranty.
PAYING FOR IT OUTSIDE THE LOAN
An add-on at the dealer is financed with the car at the loan's rate. Our install is paid directly: a fully refundable 20% deposit holds the date, the balance is paid at pickup after the inspection under lights, and Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm can split that balance if you prefer.

Can You Spot the PPF?
Two cars, both filmed. A proper install is wrapped under the hood edges and tucked into the bumper, so there is no line to find.

Questions
TYSONS DEALERS PPF QUESTIONS
Ask three questions before you decide: what the product actually is, who applies it, and what the warranty excludes. Some packages are a sealant rather than film, and some are film applied by a subcontractor off site. If the answer is a named film with a manufacturer warranty and wrapped edges, compare it fairly; if not, you know what you are comparing.
Ask them to hand-wash the car or leave it unwashed rather than run it through a brush wash, to skip any dealer-applied sealant or film if you are bringing it to us, and to leave the front plate bracket in the trunk so we can film the bumper first and mount the plate afterward. Also confirm the delivery date so we can hold your install day.
Yes, and many customers do. Tysons to Chantilly is about 25 minutes by Route 7 or the Toll Road. If your delivery appointment is in the morning, let us know and we will try to take the car the same afternoon; if it is later in the day, the next morning at 9 AM is the usual plan.
Film does not change the paint underneath, and it is removed cleanly at lease end by a professional, leaving factory paint in better shape than the unprotected panels around it. Leased cars from Tysons dealers come through our bay constantly for that reason; the return inspection sees paint with no chips.
Yes. Every install starts with a decontamination wash and an alcohol wipe that strips sealants, wax, and polish oils from the panels being filmed so the adhesive bonds to bare clear coat. The sealant on the rest of the car is unaffected, and a ceramic coating can go over everything afterward.

"Great people to deal with. Owner was very transparent with all their services and they offer payment plans. I got the front half of my car PPF'd and back half ceramic coated (one of the packages they offered) and has been raining for a few days on an off. You cant even tell it rained. The PPF and ceramic coat works as intended."
