The X5's tall hood and upright bumper take gravel square on at highway speed, and the wide kidney grille surround chips on its painted edges. HOW THE INSTALL WENT
The X5 came in with a season of Route 28 on it, so the prep took longer than the install: a two-bucket wash, iron remover on the bumper and lower doors, clay bar, and a one-step polish to clear light swirls before the film locked anything in. The STEK patterns for this X5 generation were cut and laid wet, with the hood edge and headlight surrounds wrapped by hand. Door cups went on while the front film set, since kids open the doors on this car every day. The coating went on the whole body the next morning and the owner walked the panels under our lights before paying.
