Why this coverage
WHY FULL FRONT PPF + CERAMIC COATING FITS THE 2022 LUCID AIR
The Lucid Air has one of the lowest front ends of any sedan on the road, with a wide flat hood and a bumper that sits at gravel height. Full front covers the hood, both fenders, the bumper, mirrors, and headlights, and the pattern is cut around the lidar, radar, and camera windows so DreamDrive works exactly as before. Lucid's paint is soft and marks from any automatic wash, so the self-healing top coat is a real benefit. The ceramic coating over the film and the rest of the body adds the gloss the Air's flat surfaces show off and keeps the car clean with a rinse instead of a brush.
HOW THE INSTALL WENT
- 01Two-bucket wash, iron decontamination, and clay bar so nothing is trapped under the film.
- 02Computer-cut STEK patterns for the 2022 Lucid Air, with edges wrapped or tucked where the panel allows so there is no visible edge.
- 03Wet install, squeegee-out, and a heat set on every edge so the film stays put through Virginia summers and car washes.
- 04Panel wipe and ceramic coating applied to the film and the paint, then cured indoors before the car goes home.
- 05Final inspection under our lights, aftercare walkthrough, and warranty registration.
Questions
2022 LUCID AIR FAQ
No. Every sensor window in the bumper and grille area is cut out precisely, so lidar, radar, and cameras see exactly what they did before the film.
Full front PPF is a one-day install. Adding a ceramic coating means a full paint decontamination and cure time, so plan on two days for the 2022 Lucid Air. We confirm the schedule when you book.
We install STEK paint protection film with a 12-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling, and bubbling. The top coat self-heals light scratches with heat from the sun or warm water.
